Handhole cutting systems
Characteristic
The Slotterdie system, which has
been applied for more than 30 years
in order to furnish existing
Printer-Slotters with an
uncomplicated cutting segment,
deserves new attention because of
this interest.
In a relatively simple and
economical manner, the production
possibilities of your current
Printer-Slotter can be drastically
enlarged.
The Slotterdie system is comprised
of 2 segments, namely:
-
The cutting segment which is
mounted between the slotting
heads on the upper slotter shaft
-
The anvil segment that is
mounted on the bottom slotter
shaft. On the cutting segment
you can where desired, mount a
die in order to for example, cut
hand- or ventholes.
The anvil segment is comprised of 3
parts, namely:
-
Wear-resistant polyurethane
cover with steel backing
-
The Dicar® bearing, which
prevents diecutting on the same
place and simultaneously ensures
less abrasion of the cover
-
Anvil body.
This steel backing ensures that
during production the polyurethane
does not expand and thus no
undesirable tensities take place
between the bearing and the cover.
The standard widths of the
Slotterdie systems are 75 - 102 -
127 and 152 mm.
In placing several more cutting
segments next to each other it is
even possible to for example, punch
the well-known Swedish lock bottom.
