The Nu-Star Patient Transport
System (P.T.S.) is a pedestrian operated
electric tug designed to move hospital beds
and trolleys, with or without a patient on
board.
With its ultra compact design &
manoeuvrability the Nu-Star P.T.S. fits into
most lifts with the bed attached and enables
one person to move a bed and patient safely
and with ease.
The P.T.S. can reduce employee injuries,
whilst assisting with the compliance of
Health & Safety guidelines regarding the
manual pushing/pulling limits for one
person.
Beds are attached and detached in seconds,
with a patented connection method. Most beds
and trolleys are moved easily at up to
3.2mph with a load capacity of 750kg.
The P.T.S. has a fully programmable control
system giving fingertip control and failsafe
braking. Other features include: emergency
stop, safety horn, maintenance free
batteries with on-board battery charger
enabling opportunity charging at any time.
In line with NHS guidelines for the control
of the spread of Hospital Acquired
Infections, the P.T.S. is finished with an
approved anti-bacterial coating.
